This is a 100% fine sieved sand that is suitable for a couple of purposes, including preparation for instant turf and levelling up uneven lawn.
If you have existing soil, you can use this topdressing as a layer to prepare for under instant turf, as the sand makes it easy to level off the ground and it will help to get the roots established.
Topdressing is a practice used to fill low spots and uneven areas in a lawn. Apply a thicker layer on top of joins, narrow strips and any low areas. Apply a thinner layer to the rest of the lawn.
Topdressing should ideally be carried out during the growing season when the lawn is active – in spring, summer and early autumn. The leaves should still be visible after topdressing.
