Brickie Sand is the most commonly used sand for laying bricks. White brick laying sand is also available. It is perfect for brickwork and stone work when a darker coloured mortar is required. 1 m3 of our brickie sand is enough to lay 1,000 bricks. We also sell 20kg bags of Tradesman cement too. The general ratio is 6 parts sand to 1 part cement.
We are actually the largest suppliers of bricklaying sand in Bendigo and the local brickies love our sand! We produce the sand ourselves and it’s screened through a 4 mm sieve.
