Our lawn soil is ideal for multiple purposes.
It consists of about 50% red loam, 17% coarse sand, 17% topsoil and 17% compost.
Firstly its ideal for under instant turf, if you have no existing soil. The sand provides good drainage and helps the turf roots to become established and the soil and compost will provide some nutrients and water holding capacity.
The recommended thickness is 150mm, with a minimum of 100mm.
This soil is also suitable for establishing a new lawn, if you want to use seed.
Our lawn soil is blended and sieved on our premises using a 10mm screen..
